We are delighted to be recruiting for a HR person to join a rapidly growing company in Milton Keynes. What our client is looking for: They are looking for an HR person to look after all aspects of human resources at our Clients site. They are growing fast, with a mix of employees and agency staff, and they need someone to support them to bring in the best people, onboard them so they hit the ground running, manage employee relations and support the factory management team to create a positive, high performing culture. The role will be on site five days a week and will be a generalist role, getting involved in everything from running their engagement survey to organising regular social events for their staff. Key responsibilities include: Keeping all factory staff data up to date in their HRIS Managing recruitment for both permanent and agency staff, including writing job descriptions, advertising roles, screening and interviewing, and managing relationships with their agency. Onboarding new employees, including right to work checks (will include occasional early starts). Keeping their staff handbook and site policies up to date and ensuring they are available to all employees Reporting on people numbers and cost and highlighting variance vs their labour plan Creating an employee experience that reflects their brand values and helps get the best out of their people. Running their quarterly engagement surveys, analysing results, and driving action plans with the factory leadership team. Coaching and supporting factory leaders to develop their teams and to manage any people issues that arise. Deliver our DE performance management process, working with managers to implement goal setting, mid year and end of year reviews. Management of all employee relations including disciplinaries, grievances and absence management (the factory is not unionised). Organisation of regular social events to create a sense of team spirit and belonging. Ownership of training and development for all staff Offboarding of factory team members, including exit interviews Responsible for daily processing of employee working hours, including tracking attendance, recording absences and sickness, and ensuring accurate time data for all employees. Ensuring accurate and timely payroll completion for all factory employees. You will be part of both the People team and the Factory team. The role reports to the People Director, and collaborates closely with the People Business Partner, and the factory leadership team. You will work closely with the Production Manager, Factory Accounts Manager and Managing Director. You will also partner with an external recruitment agency for sourcing of our temporary employees. What you will bring (skills and experience) You are an experienced HR generalist and have ideally worked in a factory setting. You have used an HRIS before and you have good excel and powerpoint skills. You are organised and enjoy implementing processes that ensure the factory runs efficiently and maintains a high level of performance.
