Job Description

A leading healthcare logistics provider is seeking a Driver to join their team. This role is crucial as the 'front line' contact and representative of the company. The ideal candidate will be a committed professional who excels in customer service and can handle the safe and reliable delivery of temperature-controlled pharmaceuticals.

Monday to Friday, 10am - 8pm

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Undertake deliveries and collections adhering to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and UK legislation.
  • Pack, load, and unload delivery vans as required for designated routes
  • Manage daily working relations with customers, supervisory team, and internal departments.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures for delivery/collection performance, security, health and safety, and data security.
  • Conduct daily vehicle roadworthiness checks in compliance with VOSA transport regulations.
  • Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to Dangerous Goods regulations and documentation.
  • Engage in all aspects of transport operational duties as required.
  • Comply with packaging and temperature control requirements in relation to customer needs.
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy in all aspects of communication both externally and internally.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years professional driving experience, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English.
  • Clean driving license.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good eye for detail and time management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of and adherence to traffic laws and regulations.
