Financial Adviser (Pathway to Senior Management)

Location: Gloucester (Office-based initially, with flexibility)

Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 (DOE)

Exceptional candidates may be considered at higher levels

Qualifications: Level 4 Diploma essential Chartered or working towards highly desirable

About the Firm

We're partnering with a highly respected, truly independent wealth management practice in Gloucester. The firm has built an excellent reputation for delivering fair, transparent, and client-led financial advice - with a strong emphasis on long-term relationships rather than sales targets.

This is an opportunity to join a small, forward-thinking team that rewards loyalty and quality, not just production. The firm embraces modern technology and efficiency, while maintaining a deeply personal approach to financial planning.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and future succession planning, the firm is seeking an experienced Financial Adviser to join their team.

You'll work with an existing client bank while developing new relationships through referrals and professional connections. The role also offers a clear pathway toward senior management and potential equity involvement for the right person.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a loyal portfolio of private clients.
  • Deliver holistic, independent financial advice aligned with clients' long-term goals.
  • Work collaboratively with a skilled team, including Chartered Paraplanners and experienced administrators.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth and strategic direction over time.

What We're Looking For
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (Chartered status desirable).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Adviser within an independent or restricted environment.
  • Personable, ethical, and client-focused - not a sales-driven mindset.
  • Comfortable advising clients with professionalism, integrity, and empathy.
  • Ideally bringing a small client book (not essential).
  • Open to candidates under restrictive covenants (case by case).

What's On Offer
  • Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 (higher considered for exceptional candidates).
  • Bonus: Flexible structure - can include percentage of new business or trail.
  • Pension: 5% employer / 5% employee.
  • Holidays: 25 days + statutory.
  • Additional Benefits:
  • Electric car scheme (after qualifying period).
  • Health scheme.
  • Full professional development and study support.
  • Collaborative, low-turnover environment focused on fairness, progression, and long-term success.

If you're a qualified Financial Adviser seeking a genuinely independent environment with progression toward leadership - where clients, not sales targets, come first - we'd love to hear from you.
