Payroll Functional Consultant - UK Based - c£100K Nigel Frank are supporting the search for an experienced Oracle EBS HCM Payroll Functional Consultant to lead and support Payroll and Absence modules for UK public sector clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Oracle professional with deep expertise in UK Payroll, Pension, and Absence processes, and hands-on experience with Oracle Global Payroll/Absence (EBS). The successful candidate will play a key role in both implementation and support, guiding projects through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You'll act as a trusted advisor - translating complex technical solutions into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels, while ensuring smooth delivery and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver Oracle EBS HCM projects with a focus on UK Payroll and Absence modules. Provide functional support, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues within agreed SLAs. Engage in client discussions around integration's, data migrations, and reporting. Utilise tools such as HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Extracts, BI Publisher, Fast Formulas, and Payroll Batch Loader. Lead and participate in Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) and training sessions. Prepare regular status and RAG reports, manage RAID logs, and proactively identify and mitigate risks. Required Experience & Skills 10+ years' experience implementing Oracle EBS HCM Payroll and Absence for UK clients. Proven expertise in UK Payroll, Pension, and Absence processes. Hands-on experience with Oracle Global Payroll/Absence EBS in UK public sector environments. Strong familiarity with Oracle HCM technical tools (HDL, HCM Extracts, BI Reporting, Fast Formulae, Payroll Batch Loader). Comprehensive knowledge of the SDLC and related delivery methodologies. Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience: Extensive experience working with Oracle Fusion HCM modules. Strong technical and functional expertise in areas such as Core HR, Talent Management, Absence Management, Learning Management, HR Help Desk. Familiarity with Oracle Fusion configuration and setup related to procurement modules. Ability to configure and customize Oracle Fusion applications to meet specific business requirements. Experience in testing Oracle Fusion HCM configurations to ensure accuracy and reliability. Keeping up to date with Oracle Fusion updates, patches, and new features. We are seeking an experienced QA Manager with a strong background in Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management (HCM) and Payroll modules. The successful candidate will lead the QA function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions across HR and Payroll systems. This role involves defining QA strategies, managing test teams, and collaborating with stakeholders to maintain compliance and system integrity. Develop and implement QA frameworks, standards, and best practices for Oracle Fusion HR and Payroll. Establish test plans, scripts, and automation strategies aligned with project timelines. Oversee functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for Oracle Fusion modules. Ensure accurate validation of HR and Payroll configurations, workflows, and compliance requirements. Manage and mentor QA analysts and testers, ensuring effective resource allocation. Coordinate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to resolve defects and improve quality. Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into test scenarios. Provide regular QA status reports and risk assessments to senior management. Drive automation initiatives for Oracle Fusion testing using appropriate tools. Identify process gaps and recommend enhancements for efficiency and accuracy. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. ISTQB or equivalent QA certification preferred. Minimum 7+ years in QA roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
