Skills & Abilities Previous experience in field service, installation, or maintenance roles. Strong practical aptitude with an interest in electronics, IT, or engineering. Knowledge of access control, CCTV, or time and attendance systems. Good problem-solving ability and a logical approach to technical issues. Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, routers, switches, Wi-Fi setup). Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Understanding of low-voltage systems or cabling (RS485, CAT5/6). Confident using hand tools and basic electrical or IT equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or wiring diagrams. Basic understanding of health and safety requirements on site. Personal Attributes - Must be over 21 due to fleet insurance requirements. - Able to represent the company positively during on-site client interactions. - Maintains accuracy and consistency when installing, configuring, or testing systems. - Stays calm and focused when faced with technical challenges or tight deadlines. - Willing to embrace training opportunities and keep up to date with new technologies. - Able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
