Job Title: Project Manager Location: West Midlands Sector: Timber Frame Construction Salary: 50,000 + Mileage expenses Project Manager - Office-Based (with Occasional Client Visits) We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a dynamic team at a busy timber frame manufacturing facility in Birmingham. The role is primarily office-based but may involve attending client meetings, for which a mileage allowance will be provided. There is also potential for some remote working in line with company policies. Role Overview: This position involves overseeing project orders from initial client specifications through to design and engineering stages. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Design, Technical, and Commercial teams, as well as liaise with external professionals involved in the project. Strong client and architect communication skills are essential. Key Responsibilities: Gather and confirm all necessary project information in accordance with the agreed scope of work. Ensure client expectations are met throughout all phases of the project. Manage any post-order cost variations and communicate them effectively. Coordinate site access and logistical requirements with the Operations team. Provide the Technical team with complete and accurate information to support engineering processes. Supply CAD designers with all relevant project documentation. Schedule and communicate installation dates with clients. Skills and Experience Required: Proven experience in a similar role within construction or manufacturing. Solid understanding of timber frame construction and relevant building regulations. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency with CAD software and project-related computer tools. Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines. Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
