Home Front Outdoor Play, based in Wiltshire, are looking for a Junior Designer to join their growing and innovative team. At Home Front Outdoor Play, it s not just about building play systems, it s about creating spaces for adventure, learning, and joy. Their handcrafted, built-to-last structures are lovingly made in the UK and installed in homes, nurseries, local parks and hotels across the country.

Offering a salary up to £ 30,000 per annum, this is a varied role that combines artistic vision with technical skill, ensuring each design is not only practical and safe but also sparks excitement for the children and families who use it.

This is a hybrid role, working in their Brinkworth, Wiltshire offices. A fantastic chance to be part of a business that puts creativity, quality and play at the heart of everything they do.

In the role of Junior Designer, you ll be responsible for:

• Designing and developing innovative product designs and landscape/layout concepts using CAD software & graphic design tools.
• Collaborating closely with the Sales Manager to transform client briefs into engaging play solutions.
• Producing detailed drawings and project specifications to support the manufacturing process.
• Ensuring timely project completion in partnership with the in-house manufacturing team.
• Always prioritising safety and durability in every design.

We d love to hear from you if you have the following:

• Some proven industry experience, will consider placement/internship only experience
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD and rendering software, such as SketchUp and D5
• Confident using Adobe Creative software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premier Pro
• A creative eye with exceptional attention to detail
• The ability to juggle deadlines and manage workload effectively
• Confidence in communication and the ability to build strong relationships internally & externally

The Role

As Junior Designer, you ll work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to create imaginative, durable, and safe play products that inspire children and impress clients. From concept sketches through to finished designs, you ll play a key role in shaping outdoor spaces where memories are made.

A pivotal role in Home Front s creative team, you ll thrive in a collaborative environment, managing multiple projects at once and delivering designs that balance fun, functionality and safety.
