This role is accountable for delivery of strategic marketing plans and campaigns to keep the Guardian top of mind with existing and prospective audiences in order to meet annual reader engagement and revenue targets. Includes raising product awareness and consideration, supporting efficient customer acquisition and retention, along with protecting and maintaining the brand globally. About the role Manage team by motivating and developing them along with setting them up with relevant training plans and allocating time for quarterly check-ins Work closely with the Head of Brand & Support Marketing on the delivery of our multi-year brand strategy, incorporating creative briefing and strategy, media planning and delivery, and partnerships Work closely with the wider MRR department and P&L owners to devise effective marketing strategies & lead the delivery of awareness marketing campaigns Oversee campaign planning, activation and optimisation across a range of activities promoting the master brand and other products or business areas Lead insightful campaign reporting and evaluations, ensuring identified areas for improvement are actioned and drawing clear lines of impact into audience and revenue growth Budget accountability for relevant areas - driving costs down and effectiveness up in collaboration with with the finance team About You Extensive experience in successful team management Extensive experience in creating and managing high profile above the line campaigns that meet business objectives Exceptional creative judgement Experience of effective agency management Ability to demonstrate an understanding and application of consumer insight Brand management & development experience Comprehensive brand and product knowledge We operate in a hybrid environment, usually working 3 days a week from our offices in Kings Cross and 2 days a week remotely. About The Role The Direct Tax Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding the companys financial health.
