Job Title: Registered Manager - 2 Bed Children's Home

Salary: £50,000 per annum + £5,000 bonus

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, including on-call duties
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated
Registered Manager to lead a small 2 bed children's home in Widnes. The home provides residential care for children and young people who need a safe, stable, and nurturing environment. The role requires a strong, compassionate leader who can ensure high-quality, child-centred, and trauma-informed care.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring high standards of care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safeguarding policies, and care standards.
- Lead, mentor, supervise, and support a small team of care staff.
- Develop, implement, and review individual care plans to meet children's emotional, social, educational, and behavioural needs.
- Work with therapeutic and support services to promote emotional wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records, risk assessments, incident reports, and care documentation.
- Provide a stable and supportive environment for young people.
- Collaborate with local authorities, social workers, families, and external professionals.
- Be available for on-call support as part of the Monday - Friday shift pattern.
Person Specification - Essential: - Experience working in children's residential care, ideally in a small or 2-bed setting.
- Strong knowledge of child care regulations, safeguarding, and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage a team and provide consistent, child-centred care.
- Empathy, patience, resilience, and a commitment to children's wellbeing
- NVQ Level 5 Leadership & Management of Residential Children's Homes
Desirable: - Experience with trauma-informed care or therapeutic support.
- Previous experience managing a children's home.
- Relevant qualifications in care, social work, or residential children's services.
