I am currently working with a growing and friendly independent accountancy practice in Frome who are looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior / Senior to join their team.

The Role
You will be joining a close-knit and supportive team, managing a varied portfolio of clients across a broad range of industries. This role would suit someone with solid accountancy practice experience who is confident working independently whilst also supporting junior team members where required.

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and review of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Corporation tax returns and general tax compliance work
• Bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Supporting and reviewing work prepared by junior team members
• Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact
• Assisting with year-end accounts and management accounts work
• General practice and compliance duties

The Ideal Candidate

• ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
• Previous experience within accountancy practice essential
• Comfortable managing workloads and client relationships
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Proactive and team-oriented approach
• Confident working within an office-based environment
