This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious dynamic PROIV Engineer to join our Product s (ResourceLink) Core development team. The team is responsible for delivering mission critical payroll software to Zellis customers and is made up of a group of multi disciplined experts, including Engineers and QA. This is a hybrid position based in Bristol. We re committed to your flexibility and wellbeing and our hybrid strategy currently requires two days a week in the office, giving you the option to work remotely for some of your working week, which can be negotiated based on the candidate and their location. The Role: As a PROIV Engineer you'll work within one of our ResourceLink (Core, Payroll or Absence) development teams. You'll work in a team with other Development and QA Engineers, and with our ResourceLink Product Management team, to understand their requirements so you can design a solution for their Epics that are allocated to your team and reside within your backlog. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, design, build, and unit testing of the product using CI/CD pipelines. You'll also resolve bugs and ensure correct procedures are maintained for unit testing and delivery. You'll burn down scope in the team s backlog by resolving tasks and providing 2nd line support to the ResourceLink Support team, assisting with requests for help (RFH) when needed. To do this, you'll need to be a good team player, adept at managing your workload and multi-tasking, with good interpersonal skills to work successfully with different teams, able to work on your own or as part of a team, able to escalate appropriately. In this role you will be: Working closely with the Product Strategy & Planning team in analysing the requirements for future developments. Providing estimates for delivery and then designing / coding solutions based on the requirements, ensuring the Agile delivery methodology is maintained. Providing regular updates with Team Lead / SME to ensure the design / solution is on track. Presenting the designs back to the Product Strategy & Planning team (plus QA and Support representatives) on an ongoing basis via daily scrum meeting, to ensure that all aspects of the requirements have been incorporated. Developing and unit testing quality software. This could involve developing your own specification or working on someone else s Specification working as part of a team. As a development owner, performing thorough unit and link testing to ensure all components function as expected, with particular focus on validating performance, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring the solution is fully optimised before release. Developing and documenting all unit and link tests carried out, to ensure that a completed solution meets all aspects of the design and the original requirements (plus meets all development standards and is fit for QA). Working closely with and supporting the QA team while the software goes through the QA process. Collaborating with other Engineers to ensure the successful execution and seamless delivery of Epics and bugs to agreed delivery deadlines. Providing demonstrations and training on developed software to all necessary parties. Ensuring Version Control procedures are maintained. Resolving bugs and ensuring correct procedures are maintained for unit testing and delivery. Ensuring strict procedures are followed when accessing customer systems. Taking ownership of RFH and bugs raised by the Product Support team within Azure Devops (ADO) relating to customers, working closely and collaboratively with Product Support to resolve in a timely manner based on priority and other workload. Appropriately flagging any issues and plans to address to the Lead Engineer to demonstrate ownership of the resolution. For any funded core development, collaborating with Product Management, Test Engineers, IT and Product Support teams, to ensure the successful execution and seamless delivery of product functionality. Taking part in the Product/Release Walkthrough, working closely with Product Management and/or QA to demonstrate software availability to other parts of the organisation who maybe using the system for a number of reasons, such as Marketing & Sales, Demo & Consultancy, Managing customer Services and so on. Skills & Experience We are seeking a proactive driven individual, who is ambitious and excels when overcoming challenges, with a strong interest in Development and Technology, and eager to learn and try new ideas. Take accountability and Ownership of the tasks given, able to communicate across multiple teams as necessary to identify the problem and devise a solution. To work with a team of dedicated professionals, solving problems and tackling challenges ahead, who are encouraged to look for their own solutions to a problem, delivering critical functional & legislative changes to a high standard using CI/CD pipelines and automated tests. Experience of PROIV (Or experience with an equivalent backend software package). Experience of Relational Databases, in particular Oracle or SQL-Server Experience of Agile and / or Waterfall development process. Experience using Epics, Tasks & Sprint within Azure DevOps (ADO), Reports & Burn down charts, etc. Experience of ADO CI/CD pipelines, automation and branching policies Experience of working within the HR / Payroll software/service industry advantageous, but not essential Knowledge of ResourceLink is advantageous, but not essential Being able to demonstrate a good understanding of functional areas of Payroll Applications particularly in the following areas would be advantageous, but is not essential Payroll Configuration Calculate Processing including Tax & NI BACS, RTI and Reconciliation Reports Pensions and Auto Enrolment

This role oversees and optimizes the Groups direct tax obligations, ensuring compliance with tax laws while strategically managing tax efficiency.The different areas of the role include: Compliance Management:Ensuring the Group meets all direct tax obligations (corporate income tax, capital gains tax, withholding tax, etc.) by preparing and reviewing accurate tax returns. Strategic Tax Planning:Working with the Group Tax Director to develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize the Groups tax position. Advisory Function:Providing guidance to senior stakeholders on tax implications of business decisions, mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring. Transfer Pricing:Developing, implementing, and maintaining transfer pricing policies consistent with OECD guidelines and local regulations Tax Technology, Automation & Transformation:Playing a pivotal role in modernising the Groups tax operations. This includes leading tax process automation, improving data flows, and implementing technology and AI-enabled solutions to enhance accuracy, efficiency and control. In this role your key responsibilities will be to: Ensure compliance with evolving global tax frameworks (e.g. BEPS (Base Erosion Profits Shifting), DAC6, OECD, etc). Train the wider finance team in order to build internal expertise. Skills & Experience Extensive Corporate Tax experience, either in an Accountancy Practice or in-house within a multinational. Experience advising on mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and cross-border tax issues Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA), Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or similar Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or similar Continuous Professional Development Ongoing training in tax legislation, compliance, and international frameworks (e.g., OECD BEPS).
