This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in fire protection engineering, gaining hands-on experience in sprinkler system design, hydraulic calculations, CAD software, and project delivery. You will work alongside experienced engineers, receiving structured training and industry-recognised certifications while contributing to the design of life safety systems for commercial and residential developments. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design of commercial and residential fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, and high-pressure water mist systems. Support the production of detailed layout drawings, 3D models, and hydraulic calculations using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software. Ensure designs comply with relevant fire protection standards, including BS 9251 and BS EN 12845. Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure design accuracy and project deadlines are achieved. Assist senior engineers with pipe routing, equipment positioning, and schematic design development. Attend site visits to understand installation requirements and assess design feasibility. Maintain project documentation and support the management of design programmes and deliverables. Achieve BS 9251 certification within six months and BS EN 12845 certification within twelve months.
