Key Responsibilities Deliver pre-planned lessons to classes or groups in the absence of the teacher Support the planning, delivery and assessment of differentiated learning activities Lead small group and one-to-one interventions Support pupils with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD and communication needs Implement and support EHCP targets and individual behaviour plans Use positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques Support pupils with emotional regulation and social development Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists and support staff Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff Ensure safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed at all times Requirements To be considered, candidates should: Hold HLTA status or have equivalent experience in an SEN setting Have recent experience working with children or young people with SEN Be confident supporting learning at a whole-class level Have a patient, resilient and compassionate approach Demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills Be flexible and adaptable to different SEN environments Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one What Aspire Offers Competitive rates of pay Flexible working opportunities across the West Midlands Long-term and permanent roles available Support from a dedicated SEN specialist consultant Access to ongoing training and CPD opportunities Opportunities to work in a variety of SEN school settings Safeguarding Aspire is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
