Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year Job Description: Electrical Test Engineer About Us iLECSYS are looking for a test engineer to assist in inspection and test of our expanding portfolio of products. We are industry leaders in developing in Class II switchgear for signalling power supply systems for the UK rail industry, and we are in the process of expanding the supply of these products to other parts of the world. We are looking for a self-motivated person to join our small team of test engineers. Candidate Requirements Full training for be provided upon starting, however, a working knowledge of BS7671, and a thorough understanding of the principles of electrical installation testing are essential to get the most out of this interesting and varied roll. This should be backed up by a City & Guilds qualification in electrical testing. Knowledge of the Network Rail standards which relate to signalling power supplies would also be desirable, but not essential. Many of the products we supply to the rail industry form parts of safety critical systems, so attention to detail is vital. The successful candidate must also be computer literate and possess the communication skills and the ability to interact with other members of the team. What the Job entails You will be responsible for the final inspection and test of the products that are allocated to you, and as such you will be the final link between iLECSYS and its customer. You will be required to follow written test procedures where necessary and follow schematics to ensure products have been wired correctly. You will be responsible for completing the electrical test records for each product tested. Our Class II rail products are tested at 650V AC and foil tested at 3.5kV 5kV. As always, full training for be provided as safety for yourself, and others is always of paramount importance.
