We are recruiting for a SAP Security Support Administrator for a leading Defence organisation based in Stevenage, this is a hybrid role with 1 day a week on site, 4 days WFH. Ideally you will have current SC Clearance if not you must be eligible to obtain it. Overview of department: The SAP Security Support Administrator plays a key role in supporting documentation, refinement and execution of General IT Controls (GITCs) across SAP applications. The role supports compliance, audit readiness, and secure access management within SAP Systems. Key Responsibilities: The candidate will be required to: - Follow and maintain documented procedures supporting SAP General IT Controls - Identify gaps in existing procedures and contribute to the development of improved controls documentation - Support the extraction, analysis and manipulation of SAP data to evidence application controls. - Perform and support User Access Reviews (UAR) and Segregation of Duties (SoD) - Support internal and external audit requests - Support ongoing improvement to SAP Security processes and reporting Skillset/experience required: The SAP Security Support Administrator is required to have the following; - Able to act independently with guidance and achieve the desired documented outcomes - Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to controls execution - Proven experience running regular SAP security-related transactions, including UAR and SOD - Experience in SAP user administration and access management - Strong knowledge of MS Excel and Office applications - Experience supporting software user administration and reporting - Ideally have experience of IT Control Framework, explicitly control activities such as; access controls and change management controls. -Familiarity with the software development lifecycle is desirable This is an umbrella contract, the role is Inside IR35

Support Trainee DC Engineers when required. Troubleshoot hardware faults and arrange replacements. Install and decommission redundant equipment. Provide expert hardware support. Responsible for proactive updating of customer and resolution of service. Co-operate and work closely with all members of the support team to ensure efficient, productive and high quality technical support and customer service to customers within the live Data Centre. Liaise with onsite support engineers and within other sites. Manage all incoming calls, emails to the data centre support function. Liaise with third party suppliers to report and escalate customer problems. Respond to customers within agreed SLA. Follow escalation processes; tickets to support management and other teams as required. Escalate tickets to 2nd line against agreed timescales and continue to monitor these tickets to resolution. Role Overview This role provides high-level consultancy and first hand engineering expertise to modernise High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments with a focus on containerisation of HPC and HPC/ML workloads, cluster optimization, and MPI-aware workflows. Responsibilities include assessing the existing HPC infrastructure, advising on best-practice for container strategies, and delivering technical recommendations based on real workloads Key Responsibilities The ideal candidate will collaborate with the customer to assess existing HPC infrastructure and workloads through various customer workshops and interviews, to identify: HPC Environment Assessment & Optimization Conduct rapid reviews of existing HPC infrastructure, including Beowulf clusters, Slurm job schedulers, workflow execution patterns, and key use cases. Analyze current HPC/ML workloads and identify performance constraints, containerization opportunities, and runtime optimization options. HPC Containerization Strategy Produce a strategy for MPI-optimized container images using tools such as Apptainer/Singularity (SIF), OpenMPI, Podman, and Buildah. As part of the report's findings outline repeatable, secure build pipelines for HPC workloads. Identify in the report opportunities to align container platforms with HPC orchestration requirements (batch, interactive, scientific workflows). Technical Workshops, Stakeholder Engagement Lead technical discussions, workshops, and training sessions to upskill engineering and research teams on containerization and HPC best practices. Produce concise written reports outlining the recommendations and findings, use cases, future strategy, HPC market view along with, next steps, and architectural patterns. HPC Tools, Runtimes & Ecosystem Integration Have a good understanding of Slurm scheduling, MPI job patterns, JupyterHub/JupyterLab for data-science workflows, GPU scheduling tools such as Run:AI, and SDLC practices tailored to research/HPC environments. Essential Skills & Experience Proven background in high-performance computing, including hands-on use of Beowulf-style cluster environments. Strong practical knowledge of Slurm job scheduling and MPI job optimization. Demonstrated experience with MPI-aware container technologies (Apptainer/SIF, OpenMPI, Podman, Buildah). Ability to run structured interviews, technical workshops, and cross-team engineering sessions. Experience supporting typical HPC, ML and scientific workloads. Desirable Experience Knowledge of CFD software (eg, OpenFOAM). Familiarity with Kubernetes or Singularity as an HPC runtime, GPU slicing, and image lifecycle governance. Experience contributing written outputs such as market assessments of HPC container technologies.
