We re looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our growing construction group . Reporting to the Group Financial Controller , you ll prepare management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports that support strategic decisions across our development projects and joint ventures. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong analytical skills and experience in the construction or property sector. Key Responsibilities of Management Accountant Prepare monthly management accounts within 10 working days of month-end. Review WIP, loan, accruals, and prepayment accounts. Maintain fixed asset registers and post monthly depreciation. Reconcile all general ledger accounts and investigate variances. Produce P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow reports for management and JV partners. Track project costs and update monthly site summary reports. Coordinate with Commercial, Land, and Sales teams on cost-to-complete and revenue projections. Prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax computations. Ensure compliance with DTI, CITB, NHBC, CIS, and ONS regulations. Prepare and reconcile weekly cashflow forecasts and support bank funding submissions. Assist with annual budgets and variance analysis. The Candidate for Management Accountant Minimum 2 years experience in a management accounting or auditing role. Experience in construction or property development preferred. ACCA / CIMA / ICAEW qualified or part-qualified. Strong Excel and financial modelling skills. Experience using COINS or similar construction accounting software desirable. Excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills. Commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
