You will work closely with the Assistant Farm Manager to plan and deliver workshop activities, respond to breakdowns, and support the wider team during busy seasonal periods. This is a varied and hands-on role requiring a proactive, organised, and safety-focused individual with strong mechanical skills and a commitment to high standards. Working hours are 39 hours per week, with flexibility required to work evenings and weekends, particularly during peak periods. Key Duties include: Carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on tractors, telehandlers, ATVs, implements, and specialist machinery Maintain and repair estate vehicles and trailers in line with legal and manufacturer standards Ensure all machinery is safe, compliant, and ready for operational use Maintain accurate service records, inspection logs, and compliance documentation Oversee day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and organised environment Manage workshop stock, including parts, consumables, and tools Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors as required Provide field-based breakdown support during busy periods such as harvest, drilling, and lambing Assist with machinery setup, calibration, and optimisation across operations Ensure all work complies with health and safety policies and contribute to continuous improvement Build positive working relationships across the estate and contribute to a collaborative team environment Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge About You: As a Farm and Estate Workshop Engineer, you will be a skilled and practical individual with strong mechanical experience in agricultural, plant, or HGV machinery. You will confidently diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and manage your workload independently. You will have a positive, flexible attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure. A full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential. Experience with modern machinery, welding, or regenerative systems is advantageous, and telehandler or forklift certification is desirable (training available).
