Carpenter Required We are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter to join a busy repairs and maintenance team based in Camden . This role is ideal for a skilled carpenter with multi-skilled experience who is confident carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across occupied and void residential properties. Previous experience within a local authority, housing association or social housing environment is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Carry out all aspects of carpentry repairs and maintenance. Repair and maintain timber doors, door frames, sash windows, timber windows, UPVC windows and UPVC doors. Carry out repairs to damaged UPVC doors and windows, including forced-entry repairs. Accurately measure and submit joinery orders for replacement doors, box frames, windows and bespoke joinery. Undertake associated multi-skilled repairs, including basic plumbing, wall and floor tiling, patch plastering and general maintenance. Complete all work to a high standard while ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures. Deliver excellent customer service when working within occupied properties. Essential Requirements Proven experience as a Carpenter within repairs and maintenance. Strong carpentry and joinery skills with experience of timber and UPVC doors and windows. Experience repairing sash windows and submitting accurate joinery orders. Multi-skilled experience, including basic plumbing, tiling and patch plastering. Ability to work independently and manage your own workload. Full UK Driving Licence - Van and Fuel Card provided Desirable Experience working within Social Housing, Local Authority or Housing Association maintenance. Experience carrying out responsive repairs and planned maintenance. Good communication and customer service skills. This Technical Licensing Officer role is open to candidates with a strong administrative background. The council is happy to train and develop administrators into the Technical Licensing Officer position, providing full support on licensing legislation, processes, and systems. As a Technical Licensing Officer , you ll play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of the Selective Licensing scheme, helping ensure landlords and managing agents meet their legal responsibilities and that residents live in safe, well-managed homes.
