Infrastructure Engineer- Backup Operations - Networker Backup Our client, a global technology organisation, is looking to recruit the services of an experienced Infrastructure Engineering Professional on a contract basis to be based in Sheffield. The post holder will be required to join their Backup Operations team within their Cloud Services operations, and will play a key role in managing and supporting our client's internal IT backup estate, ensuring operational excellence and contributing to the design and development of technical solutions. Key Responsibilities: Provide operational support for backup systems, including Networker Backup, Data Domain, and tape. Maintain and follow operational procedures, including out-of-hours support and on-call duties. Conduct technical peer reviews and deep-dive analysis to resolve issues. Design and develop components of technical solutions aligned with our client's architecture and security standards. Collaborate with teams to identify improvements and contribute to our client's technology roadmap. Required skills and experience: Strong knowledge of backup and recovery principles. This is a great opportunity for someone with a proven track record of designing and overseeing fund accounting models - you'll be part of a key role in shaping the operating model for a major ETF programme. As the ETF Fund Accounting Lead, you'll act as the subject matter expert for all fund accounting aspects of the ETF programme. You'll take ownership of designing the accounting operating model, establishing robust control frameworks, and ensuring seamless integration with outsourced partners and internal stakeholders. This is a 6 month contract with potential extension based on project scope. Responsibilities Lead the design of the ETF fund accounting operating model - including process flows, control frameworks, and key stakeholder responsibilities. Oversee outsourced fund accounting activities, aligning with offshore operating models and regulatory standards. Support due diligence and onboarding of third-party service providers, with a focus on operational efficiency and SLAs. Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Technology/Data teams to build strong governance and control structures. Contribute to governance documentation, TOM materials, and interdependency mapping across the programme.
