We have a fantastic opportunity for a Fuel Technician Lead to join our team. The Role Based in Fairford, UK you'll get to work alongside our dedicated workforce on a UK Military base. Prior Fuel maintenance experience will be required, although additional training will be provided on site. This role is a fantastic chance for you to further develop your skills as a Fuel Technician Lead, working on a diverse range of military equipment in an exciting environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervises personnel involved in the periodic maintenance, reconstitution, preservation, storage and deployment of all USAF Fuels Support Equipment (FSE) and vehicle assets IAW applicable USAF mandatory requirements Ensure compliance with all standard operational procedures, work instructions, USAF Technical Orders industrial safety and environmental policie Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance inspections of Fuels workshops and work areas to ensure that all shop work is performed safely and in accordance with applicable directives. Reviews and verifies all Fuels asset status Identifies asset deficiencies and submits Product Quality Deficiency Reports, as required Submits Self Inspection Form (SIF) detailing inspection findings as required Maintains accountability of all OEL and Non-OEL assets Assigns and directs all shop work on Fuels to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity Supervises the troubleshooting and repair of Fuels Completes and submits employee assessments and evaluations, as required Conducts administrative requirements related to maintenance and repair of Fuels assets Directs parts and material research for the purpose of ordering repair parts and supplies Provides task training and continual training in areas of safety, physical security, quality control, environmental concerns and other areas required by the PWS Supervises preparation of Fuels assets for deployment according to established procedures Deployment Package and Additional Benefits Our recruitment team will be happy to discuss the deployment package and additional benefits in more detail. The Role Based in Fairford, UK you'll get to work alongside our dedicated workforce on a UK Military base. Prior Fuel Equipment experience will be required, although additional training will be provided on site. This role is a fantastic chance for you to further develop your skills as a corrosion Specialist , working on a diverse range of military equipment in an exciting environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Applies knowledge of the design, system function, and interrelation of units comprising the system; physical properties and hazards associated with the handling of various types of petroleum fuels, chemicals, and alcohol; pipefitting skills, mechanical skills. Makes periodic inspections of units to detect and correct leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings, and malfunction of mechanical units, meters, and gauges such as R-11s, C300 series, and FORCE Equipment. Inspects electrical wiring, switches, and controls for safe operating condition, grounding, and adjustment. Repairs, replaces, and adjusts malfunctioning equipment to restore operating condition specified in regulations and repair manuals. Adjusts power boosters, drive chains, and tension devices. Solves complex maintenance problems by interpreting layout drawings, specifications, schematics, diagrams, and operating characteristics of vehicles/equipment and components. Uses technical orders, commercial manuals or automated systems to determine maintenance procedures and research parts. Disassembles, adjusts, aligns, and calibrates gauges and meters. Troubleshoots, adjusts, repairs, and testes vehicles/equipment. Lubricates and repacks valves; lubricates pumps; replaces gaskets and seals; corrects pumping equipment misalignment; services filter air separators and checks meters for correct delivery and calibration. Properly annotates all maintenance performed on prescribed forms for data collection and historical record purposes. Removes corrosion and repaints surfaces. Uses hand and power tools such as torque wrenches, and meters, bearing and gear puller, specific gravity scales, bench grinders, hydraulic presses, pipe threading machine, cutting torch, and other test equipment.
