Company Our client is a market leading manufacturing company. Due to sustained growth, they are now looking to recruit a Lead Injection Moulding Setter. Role You will ensure that tool and machine setting, production efficiencies and quality are carried out to a high standard in line with the production plan, health and safety obligations and all manufacturing objectives. Completing mould tool changes in a safe and efficient manner. Interpret and work on daily schedules in line with production plans. Set, adjust and optimise injection moulding machines and all associated equipment including mould heaters, material dryers, hot runner controllers and 3 axis robots. Manage a small team of 3 to meet production demand requirements. Complete all required documentation accurately: start-up checklists, tooling setting sheets, shift hand-over log and production logs using the company's software system. Complete equipment pre-use check, ensure that the correct PPE is worn by all members of the team adhere to all health and safety system and risk assessment documentation. Support new tool trials and processes, process improvements which are no-mould related to enhance the safety and the overall Mould Shop environment. Assist with basic preventative maintenance of both tools and equipment. Train and mentor a small team of 3-4. Will be working Monday to Friday only not weekends. 12 hour shifts. Week one Monday, Tuesday on days and Thursday and Fridays nights. Week two Wednesday, Thursday and Friday days and week three, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Person Must have previous experience as an injection mould setter. Lead/supervisory experience preferred. You will be happy to work shifts. The person will have experience in the processing of thermoplastic materials such as PVC, nylon and TPE and has a strong understanding of process parameters that affect product quality and production output. You will have good communication and numeracy skills, organisational skills, will be self-motivated and have a hands-on approach to problem solving with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team. The Job you ll do This vacancy is for someone to work with our production team to provide support in the CNC machine shop. Programming and operating Mazak 200Y/Mazak 300Y/Mazak J300 5 axis turn/mill centre. Working to extremely tight tolerances. The successful candidate will work as part of a small team which sees a great variety of components pass through the Machine Shop, so good teamwork and machining capability is essential to achieve the best results in a growing business. About You Time-served CNC Turner with experience of Mazak programming is essential. Timely production of parts to pre-determined deadlines. Machining to drawing or instruction, general tolerances +/-0.1mm Final machining of product to drawing or instruction, tolerances 0.02mm Turning/Milling, working to similar tolerances as above. Working closely with the Engineering and Quality teams to ensure adherence. Will be working as day shift 7-3 Monday to Friday. Working in a fast paced cleanroom production environment. Working within a cleanroom environment with the prerequisite use of cleanroom clothing. Support delivery of a safe working environment delivering zero accidents in Production. Compliance to GMP, Data Integrity, Quality Management System, quality and documentation. Ensure all equipment and filling lines are set up correctly prior to commencing production. Equipment to be monitored throughout manufacturing and well maintained. Ensure the Cleanroom Team are adhering to correct gowning procedures and cleanroom behaviours. Target zero accidents through prevention, awareness to hazards recorded safety observations and improvements. Follow the Quality Management System as applicable to the role. Adhere to quality procedures and internal procedures. Keep an up to date personal training record. Perform housekeeping duties related to the role. Take ownership of your team. Follow supervisor and senior staff instructions. Understand how to follow standard operating procedures. Review and verify product batch records for accuracy. Collaborate with other departments as required. Identify any issues with equipment and elevate to the engineering team. Perform preprocess and in process checks. The Person Must have cleanroom experience in a similar role. Chemical, process or pharmaceutical sector experience is desirable. Excellent communication skills.
