The Role: To lead a team of operators in a given area and to take responsibility for production in that area. This responsibility includes quality and health and safety. The role is a hands-on role. Main Duties: 1. To deputise for the Shift Manager as and when required. 2. To strive to meet or exceed the production plan in their area of responsibility. 3. To work as a team with the other team leaders to support the Shift Manager. 4. To strive to meet or exceed the set KPI targets in their area of responsibility. 5. To ensure an effective handover is carried out. This will mean starting slightly early on the late shift and finishing slightly late on the day shift. 6. To assist the Shift Manager in ensuring the site is closed as and when required. 7. To coach, train and develop individuals in their team. 8. To actively support continuous improvement systems. 9. To attend training courses as required including off site training courses. 10. To ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed. 12. To ensure that all quality systems are followed. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, days and afternoon sgifts rotating. The day shift is 6am until 2pm and the afternoon shift is 2pm until 10pm.
