Your responsibilities will include: Full ownership of finance across multiple project entities, ensuring accurate, timely and well-controlled financial reporting Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and variance analysis Cashflow forecasting, scenario modelling and liquidity oversight across projects Responsibility for VAT returns, statutory filings and Companies House compliance Acting as the primary point of contact for external accountants, auditors and tax advisers Preparing and supplying financial information to investors, shareholders and the board Supporting increased governance and reporting requirements following recent investment Reviewing existing finance systems and processes (currently Xero), identifying improvements and recommending changes where appropriate Establishing robust financial controls suitable for an investor-backed, multi-entity business This is an office-based role in Hoxton, East London, enabling close collaboration with founders and senior stakeholders and offering real exposure to how strategic decisions are made. The Ideal Person This role will suit a finance professional who enjoys breadth, responsibility and being close to the action. You are likely to have: At least 3-5 years' UK-based financial controlling or finance management experience Experience working in SME, project-based or investor-backed environments Hands-on experience managing finance across multiple legal entities or SPVs Strong technical grounding in management accounts, forecasting, cashflow and statutory compliance Confidence dealing directly with senior stakeholders, investors and external advisers A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work with limited support infrastructure You may be ACCA or CIMA qualified or part-qualified, or qualified by experience, with a demonstrable track record of owning and improving finance functions in growing businesses.
