Private Client Lawyer Location: Poole, Dorset Hours: Monday to Friday 9am 5pm Salary: £52,000 £65,000 per annum (D.O.E & qualifications) Position: Full Time, Permanent Overview We are delighted to be working on behalf of a progressive, highly regarded law firm to recruit an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join their team based in Poole. This role is ideal for an ambitious, self-motivated solicitor or legal executive looking to build and run a high quality caseload of general Private Client work. You will be dealing with a premium local client base, managing matters such as Will drafting, Estate Administration, Tax, Trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney. Private Client Lawyer Key Responsibilities Caseload Management: Autonomously run a full and varied caseload of Private Client matters, including complex Wills, Estate Administration, high-value Trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney. Service Standards: Deliver the highest possible legal and service standards, ensuring clear, articulate, and compassionate communication with clients. Team Support: Act as a senior presence in the office by providing support and mentorship to junior members of the team. Financial Targets: Efficiently manage time recording and billing, motivating oneself to meet and exceed realistic firm profitability targets. Business Development: Proactively build lasting relationships with clients and professional contacts to encourage networking and the referral of future business to the firm. Key Skills Required Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with approximately 3 to 5 years PQE in private client law (candidates outside of this bracket with relevant experience are still welcome to apply). Accreditations: STEP or SFE (Solicitors for the Elderly) accreditation is highly desirable, or a strong ambition to work towards acquiring these. Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently, utilise resources effectively, and manage time efficiently under own initiative. Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal and tax information accurately and empathetically to clients. Systems Literacy: Previous experience utilising a legal case management system is highly advantageous. Required Skills & Experience Essential experience in Business Continuity Management, planning, and testing within the financial sector. Experience with operational resilience and business continuity aligned with regulatory guidelines. A demonstrable understanding of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Lifecycle. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong questioning and listening abilities. Strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management. Good decision-making, team-working, and planning skills. A CBCI qualification or equivalent is desirable.
