Assistant Quantity Surveyor Kent & Central London 30,000 - 40,000 + Package An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning commercial fit-out contractor delivering high-profile office refurbishment and interior fit-out projects across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a prestigious 8 million commercial fit-out project in Central London , whilst also working from their Kent head office. This role offers genuine career progression, exposure to landmark projects and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced commercial team within a business renowned for developing its staff. As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll support the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account. You'll assist with subcontract procurement, valuations, variations, cost reporting, CVRs, subcontractor payments and final accounts, whilst liaising closely with site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably. The successful candidate will ideally have at least two years' experience working within a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveying role for either a main contractor or specialist subcontractor. You will also hold a Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or another construction-related discipline and possess strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to progress your career. As you'll be splitting your time between the Kent office and the Central London project, a full UK Driving Licence is essential , and applicants should be based within a reasonable commute of the Kent office. 2 x Electricians (with IPAF ticket) London, SW20 07:30 - 16:30, Monday to Friday Start: Wednesday 5th August Duration: 6 weeks Containment installation and 1st/2nd fixing, 6 industrial units. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and reliable Electrician (JIB/ECS qualified) with a valid IPAF licence to join our team on an industrial project in SW20. The role involves containment installation and 1st fix electrical works across multiple industrial units. Key Responsibilities Installation of electrical containment including: Tray Basket Trunking Conduit (metal & PVC) Carrying out 1st and 2nd fix electrical installations in accordance with drawings and specifications Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and site plans Measuring, cutting, and installing containment systems to a high standard Working safely at height using IPAF equipment (MEWP) Ensuring all work complies with current BS7671 Wiring Regulations Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area Liaising with supervisors and other trades to ensure smooth site progress Requirements Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) Valid JIB/ECS Gold Card (preferred) IPAF Licence (3a/3b) essential Proven experience in industrial or commercial environments Strong experience in containment and 1st fix work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Own tools and PPE Good understanding of site health & safety Desirable Previous experience on industrial units or large-scale commercial projects Ability to work from drawings without supervision Start Date ASAP ! As Contracts Manager you will need to have come from a Mechanical background and have worked within the commercial fit out sector. This role will be covering Kent London & Surrey. Responsibilities: Developing the business operations alongside directors Develop existing client project managers, staff, and sub-contract supply chains The ability to work well under pressure and hit deadlines Work closely with Senior Managers / Supervisors Manage project cost procurement, analysis, appraisal, and budgeting. Ensure programs are agreed upon with clients and contractors before project commencement, updated as needed, and key deadlines are met. The ideal candidate will be: Mechanical Engineering City and Guilds or equivalent 3-5+ years' experience in a similar position ideally Health and Safety qualification, SMSTS, CSCS Managers black card essential.
