Electrical Construction Manager Location: Slough, South East Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Role Overview The Electrical Construction Manager will be responsible for managing site-based electrical construction activities across projects in the region. The role involves establishing level and survey control, setting out works in accordance with contract drawings, and working closely with the Project Manager to ensure project delivery meets programme, safety, and quality requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring that works are delivered safely, efficiently, and defect free while maintaining accurate records and compliance with company procedures and legal obligations. Working hours are typically 7:00am to 4:00pm, although flexibility may be required to meet project and business needs. Overtime may be paid where additional hours are agreed with the line manager. Key Responsibilities Promote a strong safety culture on site by ensuring compliance with company procedures, legal obligations, and environmental requirements while delivering works safely and to high quality standards. Oversee site engineering activities including setting out works in accordance with contract drawings, preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements, and ensuring works are delivered defect and snag free while maintaining best practice across project delivery. Review contractor RAMS, technical submittals, specifications and Requests for Information, assist the Quantity Surveyor with site variations, and identify value engineering opportunities where possible. Manage project documentation including drawing registers, O&M information, commissioning documentation, and quality records to ensure accuracy and compliance with organisational and legal requirements. Coordinate site resources and planning by producing procurement schedules, labour allocation sheets, Daily Task Briefings, and supporting project reporting including four week look-ahead programmes. Monitor progress on site, resolve technical issues as they arise, and ensure timely handover of completed works with accurate records, weekly site diaries, and no outstanding defects.
