HGV Mechanic This is an opportunity to join a well-established, independent commercial vehicle service provider specialising in the maintenance, servicing, and repair of HGVs and Fleet Vehicles on Full time, Permanent basis based in Hereford. The business supports a range of logistics and transport clients, delivering high-quality, compliant, and reliable vehicle maintenance services. You will be working as part of a small, skilled team of technicians in a hands-on, workshop-based role. What You Can Expect •Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 5:00pm Friday: 7:00am - 4:30pm •Salary negotiable depending on experience starting at a minimum of £38610.00 per annum •28 days holiday including bank holidays •Supportive, close-knit team environment with strong technical expertise •Varied workload across HGVs, trailers, and commercial fleet vehicles What You Will Be Doing •Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections on HGVs and trailers in line with DVSA standards •Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge •Completing repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime while maintaining high safety standards •Conducting safety inspections, MOT preparation, and compliance checks •Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with legal, health & safety, and company procedures •Accurately recording work carried out, parts used, and inspection findings •Supporting breakdown response and reactive maintenance where required •Working collaboratively within a small team to ensure workshop productivity and service delivery targets are met What We Are Looking For •Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic, Technician, or Fitter within a commercial vehicle environment •Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent) •Strong knowledge of HGV systems including engines, braking systems, hydraulics, and electrics •Experience with diagnostics and fault-finding across a range of vehicle makes and models •Understanding of DVSA regulations, safety standards, and MOT requirements •Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, skilled team •High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship and safety •HGV Class 1 or 2 licence desirable but not essential •A proactive and professional approach, with good communication and workshop discipline Recruitment Direct Leominster are an equal opportunities employer and working as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy. Technical Sales Advisor Our rural Leominster client is seeking a full time, permanent Technical Sales Advisor to join their friendly and knowledgeable team on full time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for recommending and selling appropriate components and systems to customers, providing a troubleshooting service should problems arise, processing all associated administration.
