The Scientist will deliver insights grounded in Sensory & Consumer Science that inform product and packaging development decisions, delivering differentiated products that win in the marketplace. Responsibilities Work within team of Sensory Scientists and Managers to lead Sensory and Consumer Experience research for R&D Foods teams to drive product, package, and process design decisions. Develop and execute compelling research plans to enable clear product / process design decisions for product development, while working closely with cross-functional partners to clarify proposition questions and to create joint learning plans as needed. Work with Experience teammates with flexibility to ensure adequate resourcing of projects and respond to changes in project prioritization and business constraints. Summarize results, interpret, make recommendations, and present results (written and orally) cross-functionally. Deliver recommendations based on the data to impact business decisions and influence the business agenda. Collaborate across Experience to explore new capabilities which maximize productivity, increase agility, and drive new insights while sharing learnings across the broader organization. Qualifications Minimum of BS in Food Science, Food Engineering, Consumer Psychology, Market Research, or related technical discipline. Work experience in a consumer research/insights role preferably in an FMCG environment dependent on degree Deep knowledge of product testing methodologies with strong background in both Qualitative & Quantitative research methods. Training and experience applying experimental design and statistics to sensory and consumer research. Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to interpret complex data and communicate key research learnings and implications clearly and concisely to all audiences.

The Quality & Food Safety Manager is a key member of the Coventry Manufacturing site leadership team, responsible for championing and safeguarding all aspects of Quality and Food Safety (QFS). This role owns the site's QFS framework, oversees the Quality & Food Safety Management System, and ensures full legal compliance as well as adherence to PepsiCo standards. You will lead the site's Quality and Food Safety agenda, driving a culture where every team member understands and executes their role in delivering exceptional product quality and maintaining the highest standards of food safety. Working in partnership with site leaders, you will embed continuous improvement, strengthen operational discipline, and ensure that QFS KPIs are effectively managed and achieved. Responsibilities Champion daily Quality and Food Safety performance, collaborating closely with site leadership and operational teams to uphold and elevate standards. Lead investigations into nonconformances, incidents, and consumer complaints, ensuring rigorous root cause analysis and implementation of robust corrective and preventive actions. Own and manage the site's QFS KPIs, using a balanced scorecard approach and influencing cross functional teams to deliver against Quality and Food Safety objectives. Embed a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to optimize QFS processes and enhance site performance. Stay current on applicable legislation, audit requirements, and compliance obligations, ensuring the site remains fully compliant at all times. Collaborate with the Hub QFS Manager to ensure microbiological testing meets PepsiCo and external audit requirements and that results are effectively reviewed and actioned. Oversee the calibration and maintenance of all quality testing equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Manage the site's pest control programme, ensuring effective controls and compliance with relevant standards. Lead site hygiene activities, working with the Operations Manager to maintain world class hygiene standards and ensuring all hygiene plans are executed consistently. Manage the ISS contract, maximizing service value and maintaining the highest levels of site cleanliness and hygiene. Own the HACCP and Food Defence for site, ensuring robust risk management and control. Maintain and continually improve the Quality Management System, ensuring documentation is accurate, current, and audit ready. Oversee the internal audit programme, ensuring effective preparation, execution, reporting, and follow up of all audits. As a Daily management systems owner for Spark (IWS) drive and build capability and engagement behind Spark deployment across the site. Qualifications Proven experience in Quality and Food Safety, ideally with team leadership. Strong communication, influencing, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in continuous improvement and use of structured problem solving tools. Flexible, proactive, and results driven with a positive, "can do" mindset. Effective communicator at all levels with strong IT and presentation skills. Able to prioritise, think strategically, identify trends, and shape long term plans.
