Job Title: Python/Golang Engineer with AWS Location: Sheffield/Birmingham/Edinburgh - 3 days per week Salary/Rate: Up to £540 per day inside IR35 Start Date: 20/10/2025 Job Type: Contract Company Introduction We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading financial services clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Python and Golang Engineer to join their team for an initial contract until the end of the year. Job Responsibilities/Objectives Design, develop and maintain highly available, secure, and performant Back End REST API services along with Front End client usingPython,Golang, Docker and Cloud-Native services. Implement and manage database schema changes usingLiquibase, ensuring alignment with compliance and audit standards. Collaborate closely with Architecture and DevOps teams to enhance, maintain Product capabilities/features. Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions for incidents and performance bottlenecks. Required Skills/Experience The ideal candidate will have the following: Strong development experience with a strong focus on large-scale, distributed systems. Proficient in Python, Golang and PostgreSQL. Experience withLiquibaseor similar tools for database change management and version control. Hands-on experience with AWS, including cloud-native services, storage, IAM, and KMS. Familiarity withDevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code (eg, Terraform), CI/CD tools (eg, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and containerization. Strong understanding of security principles in cloud and enterprise systems. Familiarity with audit and compliance considerations in regulated industries, particularly finance or banking. Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences. A successful track record of delivering complex projects and/or programmes, using appropriate techniques and tools to ensure and measure success. Position: Server Engineer - Contract Role Location: Staffordshire - Onsite (Full-Time) Day Rate: £200 Per Day - Inside IR35 Contract Length: Initial 3-month contract (possible extension) Company Introduction We are seeking an experienced Server Engineer to join our client on a full-time, onsite contract basis in Staffordshire. This role focuses on server upgrades, disaster recovery (DR) documentation, and ensuring strong security practices across IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in server administration, backup strategies, and security, with a focus on delivering high-quality technical solutions in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities/Objectives Server Upgrades & Patching: Manage and execute server upgrades, migrations, and system patching to ensure seamless operations. Disaster Recovery (DR) Documentation: Assist in the creation and maintenance of DR plans, documentation, and business continuity strategies. Security Best Practices: Support and implement security practices, including OS hardening, certificate management, and management of access control lists (ACLs).
