Job Purpose: To assist the Debt Recovery Officer in the collection of outstanding debts across Local Taxation, Housing Benefit Overpayments, and Sundry Debt Recovery. The role ensures compliance with the Corporate Debt Policy and supports effective debt management processes. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the control and reconciliation of financial systems. The role involves investigation, early intervention, and enforcement action where necessary, working closely with internal teams and external partners to reduce ASB and improve community safety across the district. Key Responsibilities Case Management & Investigation Manage a caseload of ASB complaints including neighbour disputes, noise nuisance, harassment, hate incidents, and environmental ASB. I'm working with a mid-market PE firm who are in the process of carving out a c 300m turnover specialist manufacturing company. They're looking for someone to setup the tax function for that business. The role will be interim in the first instance, but can become permanent in the long term, should that be something you're interested in. They need someone with experience setting up an international tax function (specifically with relation to the US, and SE Asia if possible), in a PE/carve out setting. The interim role will largely be remote, though in the long run there will be a need for some office presence in NW England, and potentially some international travel.
