Head of IT Infrastructure/Head of IT Platforms Hybrid working: 3 days per week required in the office in London. DGH Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading global law firm who are looking for a Head of IT Platforms/Head of Infrastructure to join the team on a permanent basis in their London office. The role will be accountable for the strategy, delivery, security, resilience and continuous improvement of the core technology platforms. This includes Infrastructure (Azure and on premise), security operations, endpoints, data integration/automation and applications (including DMS). Key Responsibilities: - Platform Strategy and Architecture: Own the strategy and multi-year roadmap. Lead life cycle management including modernisation and decommissioning of systems. - Operational Excellence and Service Management: Accountable for platform availability, performance and resilience. Oversea 3rd level support and major incident response. - Security & Risk Management: Ensure security is Embedded by design across all platforms. - Automation & Continuous Improvement: Drive automation and standardisation across platform services. - Leadership & People Management: Lead and develop Platform Managers and technical leads across Infrastructure, Endpoint, Security Operations and Application/DMS Platforms. - Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Act as a senior escalation point for platform related issues. Partner with legal technology, data, PMO and the business to support strategic initiatives. - Act as a member of IT leadership and governance forums. Required Experience: - Senior leadership experience across enterprise platforms in a legal or professional services environment. - Strong background in infrastructure, cloud platforms, endpoints and security operations. - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, identity and endpoint ecosystems. - Strong understanding of ITIL based service management and operational governance. - Experience with DMS platforms (desired) - Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR and modern security tooling. Entra ID Identity Architect (Entra ID/Azure/SSO) Hybrid working: 3 days per week required in the office in London. Overview The role will focus on designing, implementing, and evolving identity, access, and infrastructure security capabilities across hybrid environments. Qualifications & Experience - Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience. - Strong background in IAM engineering/architecture within enterprise environments, including leadership of complex design initiatives. - Experience in global or large-scale organisations preferred.
