Vehicle Technicians/ Mechanics Location: Leconfield, East Riding of Yorkshire Company: e-ppl Group Position Type: Contracting Rate: Competitive Work Pattern: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm, Friday 7.30 to 1.00pm EPPL is seeking skilled Vehicle Technicians to join our dedicated team on-site at Leconfield. This is a mission-critical role supporting the refurbishment and maintenance of a specialist fleet. Working at Leconfield, you will step away from standard garage work to maintain, repair, and overhaul heavy military vehicles and advanced armoured fighting assets. This is a high-impact engineering role with a global defence leader dedicated to national security. What You Will Do Service & Overhaul: Conduct routine servicing, diagnostic fault finding, and complete mechanical/electrical overhauls on a unique fleet of military assets. Maintain Readiness: Perform critical safety inspections and equipment examinations to strict production standards. Collaborate: Work alongside military personnel and skilled engineering teams to optimize vehicle availability for live training exercises. What We Are Looking For Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Service and Repair (or equivalent Light/Heavy vehicle qualification). Experience: Proven mechanical background working in busy commercial garages, HGV workshops, or military environments. Skills: Strong fault diagnosis capabilities, team player mentality, and an adaptable approach to complex machinery. Security Clearance: Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining UK Security Check (SC) clearance. Job Title: VEHICLE CONVERSION TECHNICAN Pay: 17 per hour Location : Walsall We are looking for a skilled and experienced Vehicle Conversion Technician to join our team at E-ppl. As a leading supplier of managed services in the automotive industry, we work with major OEMs across the UK and overseas. Our projects range from carefully planned launch support to reactive quality campaigns. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly skilled team supporting a premium customer who creates specialist vehicles for emergency services. You will be working on bespoke, one-of-a-kind conversions on an ongoing basis. We are seeking a passionate and flexible individual who loves working on unique projects and can adapt to a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Fabricate bespoke parts and assemblies. Perform glass fitment and the removal and refitting of interior trims. Work to detailed vehicle build specifications. Complete general modifications to original vehicle builds. Fit and assemble metal, wood, and laminate components according to customer specifications. Use site equipment and hand tools safely and effectively. Adhere to all company health and safety procedures. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional workshop environment. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Able to work both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in using hand tools and basic cutting machinery. Ability to read and interpret plans, instructions, and diagrams. Flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure. Work Details: Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Friday 7.00am -12pm Contract: Ongoing contract, paid via a limited company or umbrella company (Outside of IR35).
