Transport Supervisor (Night Shift) Location: Aylesbury Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (DOE) + Overtime Opportunities Hours: Monday to Friday, 17:00-05:00 (with occasional Saturday work on rota) Job Type: Full-time, Temp to PermAbout the Role We are working with a leading logistics and distribution company who are looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join their busy transport operation in Haddenham, Aylesbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of night-shift operations within a fast-paced transport and logistics environment , ensuring the smooth running of UK-wide deliveries.The successful candidate will play a vital role in overseeing drivers, compliance, and operational performance, while driving continuous improvements across the transport functionKey Responsibilities Supervise and manage night-time transport operations , ensuring all deliveries are completed efficiently and in line with company standards. Lead, support and motivate drivers, managing performance and ensuring compliance with transport regulations. Monitor driver hours, vehicle checks, defects, and infringements. Work closely with compliance and contract management teams to maintain operational excellence. Analyse data, report on KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement. Provide clear and effective communication with drivers and internal teams, resolving issues quickly to maintain service levels. What We're Looking For Previous experience in transport operations / logistics supervision (night shift experience desirable). Strong organisational and administrative skills with great attention to detail. Excellent communication skills - confident dealing with drivers and internal stakeholders. Good knowledge of transport compliance, driver hours, and working time regulations . Flexible and proactive attitude with the ability to problem-solve under pressure. Willingness to work a 50-hour week on a rota basis, which includes 1 weekend day shift every 3 weeks (with Friday night off beforehand). Why Apply?
