Job Purpose: The Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing overdue accounts, contact customers to collect outstanding payments, and ensuring timely resolution of inflowing payment issues to maintain a healthy cash flow. You will be part of a Collections team embedded in the Global Trade business for ADM Agriculture. Main Responsibilities: Monitor and manage accounts receivable to identify overdue payments. Contacting customers primarily by phone, following up via email to collect outstanding debts. Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions. Collaborate with internal departments to assist with resolving issues. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company procedures related to collections. Provide exceptional customer service whilst maintaining professionalism and empathy. Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process Must be pro-active, hardworking and able to communicate and follow up effectively with stakeholders regarding customer accounts on a timely basis Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with traders and sales Documenting the steps taken in the collection system GetPaid Preparing the weekly report for the assigned unit Support projects relevant to collections Any other reasonable duties as requested by business managers. Skills, Abilities & Experience: Good problem-solving and decision-making skills Proven experience as a Collections Specialist, AR Clerk or similar role. Excellent communication and team working skills Ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities Assertive, target-driven and autonomous work approach Commitment to excellent customer service Basic accounting knowledge esp. of billing and collections procedures will be an advantage Relevant working experience in international agricultural business or in a collection agency is desirable Banking, commercial or administrative apprenticeship or comparable Excellent language skills in English, other languages are considered as a plus
