Role: Lead Maintenance Engineer Location: South Birmingham Hours: 6am - 2pm Pay: 45,000 - 48,000 Role Overview: We are looking for a Lead Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in South Birmingham. In this role, you will be responsible for the below duties. Duties to be performed: Carry out repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance on all factory machinery, equipment, and facility systems. Support daily maintenance operations, troubleshoot breakdowns, and assist with new equipment installations. Develop and implement a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) system and follow the TPM schedule. Collaborate with suppliers for servicing, repairs, and installations, and provide training to staff on maintenance best practices. Contribute to plant safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement to ensure efficient and reliable production performance. Experience required: Strong numeracy, literacy, and computer skills, with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Minimum 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment. Qualified in electrical wiring/installation and mechanical engineering, with knowledge of pneumatics and ideally hydraulics. Experience with robotics, air handling systems, humidification, and filtration processes is desirable. Familiarity with health and safety practices (Manual Handling, Working at Heights, IPAF) and factory information systems such as Rhombus. Apply Now!
