This Quality Inspector position sits within a business supplying into defence, nuclear and subsea environments. Tolerances are tight. Traceability matters. Documentation has to stand up to scrutiny. You ll be working with a Faro Arm. If you haven t used Faro specifically but you ve used Leica or another portable CMM arm, you ll adapt quickly. The principles are the same, set up correctly. Measure accurately, report clearly. PolyWorks is part of the toolkit which you will know as a Dimensional Quality Inspector, you ll compare measured data against CAD, analyse deviation and produce reports that manufacturing can act on. Alongside that, you re confident with the fundamentals. Micrometers. Verniers. Height gauges. Bore gauges. Used properly & Recorded properly. You know that good Quality Inspector reads drawings carefully, checks components before they move forward and ensures 3.1 certs and inspection paperwork align with the physical part. If something is out, you don t file it away. A capable Quality Inspector raises it and works with manufacturing to correct it. You protect the standard. The wider quality function is highly experienced and technically strong. Parts of the team are long-established, and they value inspectors who demonstrate deep practical expertise and mastery of their craft. A confident Quality Inspector like you will be trusted to make the call. Salary is £40,000 to £45,000 including shift allowance, or £38,000 to £40,000 without. Shift pattern rotates weekly.
