SEN Teaching Assistant required to work with a KS1 student in the alternative provision of a Romford Primary School. We are looking for somebody with experience to support the student with Downes Syndrome on a 1-1 basis within the provision. For the role it will involve helping the student with their learning, communication, social skills and will require the successful SEN Teaching Assistant to be patient and observant with a nurturing approach and a passion to help the student reach their full potential. To start as soon as possible, Monday Friday 8.15am to 3.30pm with a break SEN Teaching Assistant Role & Qualification Knowledge, understanding and empathy towards supporting students with Downs Syndrome. Building intellectual, social, emotional, and physical skills with the student whilst promoting enjoyment of learning A drive and passion to support the student on a 1-1 basis within the classroom using PECS/Makaton. Working calmly and effectively and adapt to learning plans appropriately. A good understanding of supporting learning to provide development and growth with the student. Happy to assist with personal care if needed. To always be professional keeping to school policies and procedures Good communication and organisational skills, patient with a positive attitude. Ideally to have a L2/L3 Teaching Assistant, Care or SEND qualification. Midday Support Assistant required to join the team in an Upminster School supporting children with Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs during the lunchtime period of the day. This Midday Support Assistant role would be perfect for someone wanting to gain further experience within a school setting and looking to work school hours around family life. To start as soon as possible, Monday - Friday 2 hours a day with potential of being offered extra hours - Term time only Midday Support Assistant Role: Assist the children during the lunchtime period to ensure a safe and happy play as 1-1 support. Supervising the children whilst eating at meal times, being mindful of their dietary requirements and ensure they are adhered to accordingly.
