As a result, we are always adding members to our finance team, and we are presently seeking a Billing & Collections Advisor to join our team. The Billing & Collections Advisor's job is to oversee the group's portfolio of nurseries' debt and sales ledger. When parents or the nurseries themselves have questions about invoices or debt, the Billing & Collections Advisor will be the person to contact first. The chosen applicant will actively participate in the expanding Finance Department at Head Office and possess strong interpersonal and attention to detail skills. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Make sure customers pay on schedule, and follow up via phone, email, or letter on any past-due bills. Discuss repayment schedules. Follow the company's debt policies and initiate legal proceedings if necessary Invoicing around (Apply online only) customers per month using nursery software Supporting, processing and reconciliation of all LA documentation surrounding EY Funding, claiming via the online portal and payments received. Reconciliation of outside agency payments Resolving parent finance queries Maintaining open lines of contact with nurseries to guarantee productive relationships Month-end duties Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this role, including providing cover for colleagues as required The ideal applicant will possess: At least 3 years of dedicated Billing or Collections experience or transferable experience from a different field. Early Years Funding Analyst Location: This role is currently based at our head office in Lymm, which will be relocating to Altrincham in early 2027. Job Specifications: 40 hours per week, office-based, travel to Nurseries when required. Reporting to: Early Years Funding Manager Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Maintain a central tracker covering all Early Years funding streams, including funded entitlements, EYPP, DAF, SEND and inclusion funding, deprivation supplements and other Local Authority-specific funding. Complete regular data analysis to identify trends, funding gaps, underclaims, overclaims, payment variances and potential lost income. Analyse funding performance by nursery, region, Local Authority and funding stream. Assist with reconciling expected funding against payments received and investigate discrepancies promptly. Produce clear monthly funding reports, dashboards and exception reports for management. Work with the Data Team to develop and maintain accurate Power BI reporting for funding performance deadlines and risks. Maintain supporting evidence and a clear audit trail for all funding claims, together with completion of funding contracts across all nurseries, including new acquisitions. Escalate material funding risks, missed deadlines and unresolved payment discrepancies to the Early Years Funding Manager. Ensure pre-audit compliance checks are completed and documentation collated and submitted to Local Authorities as required When possible, to support with Early Years Funding Analysis audits (face-to-face & virtual) to ensure compliance with statutory guidance Support continuous improvement of funding processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce risk Any other duties deemed appropriate to the role The ideal applicant will possess: At least 3 years of Early Years Funding experience. How you'll make a difference as a Deputy Manager: Through working alongside the manager to help with all areas of running the nursery, making sure everything runs smoothly day to day. By building warm, trusting relationships with families and work together with outside agencies to support each child's growth and wellbeing. Guiding and support the nursery team, keeping children safe at all times and bringing the EYFS to life in a way that's fun, engaging, and meets all requirements. What a Deputy Manager needs: Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification. Excellent understanding of EYFS. Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.
