JN Technical are recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading UK engineering company. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established and growing company. The Senior Quantity Surveyor primary objectives are as followed: - Take commercial ownership of the project from estimating following contract award. - Produce internal commercial budget and commercial strategy for incorporation into the Project Execution Plan for successful project delivery. - Liaise and provide commercial support to the internal buying department in the procurement of materials and any sub-contracted elements. - Prepare, submit and agree monthly applications for payments as well as monitoring and ensuring prompt payment. - Lead and manage the change control process and ensure all variations to the contract are identified and priced to ensure full recovery - Negotiate and agree value of all variations with the client organisation. - Manage and maximise positive project cashflow including producing the weekly report - Monitor, analyse and manage all internal and external project costs. - Provide commercial and contractual advice and support to the Project Team. - Ensure all contractual notices and procedures within the contract are adhered to and fulfilled. - Prepare, submit and where appropriate agree the final application for payment to the client. - Prepare the monthly internal and external commercial reports and CVRs - Manage, mentor and professionally develop junior commercial staff. - Ensure project compliance with all internal commercial and contractual governance. The ideal candidate will have held a similar position for a minimum of 5 years. NEC experience is essential. A Quantity Surveying and/or Commercial Management degree is preferred.

JN Technical is recruiting a Tekla Detailer on behalf of a well established structural steel contractor. The successful candidate will contribute to large scale steelwork packages across the UK. Please note remote/hybrid working is available for this position, Key Responsibilities: Develop accurate Tekla Structures models for building and steel structures in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Produce Tekla models from client and design team drawings, supporting projects from initial modelling through to fabrication and erection. Generate fabrication, fitting, component, and general arrangement (GA) drawings , along with NC data. Prepare and export reports and data for STRUMIS steel fabrication software in line with workshop requirements. Ensure all models and drawings are delivered in accordance with the project fabrication programme and deadlines . Apply current UK drawing practices and standards relating to model build, connections, and fabrication detailing. Manage workload effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality across multiple projects. Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in structural steel detailing. Strong working knowledge of Tekla Structures and 3D steel modelling. Proven experience within the UK steel fabrication industry . Ability to produce approval drawings for client submission, PMLs and detailed fabrication information. Excellent time management, project coordination and communication skills.
