The Smart Building Solutions Design Lead is responsible for leading and contributing to presales and pre-construction activities for smart building projects. The role manages allocated opportunities from initial enquiry through bid submission, contract award, and into pre-construction delivery. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and play a hands-on role in scoping, designing, costing, and producing bid proposals for integrated smart building solutions. These solutions span system integration and operation, Building IoT, IT cabling, networks, electronic security, and audio-visual technologies. Post-award, the role provides technical and commercial leadership during pre-construction, ensuring designs meet client business requirements and project objectives. The position suits an experienced professional with strong design, estimating, and tendering capability, combining technical depth, commercial awareness, and a passion for smart building technologies across enterprise, hospitality, residential, and data centre sectors. Basic of 60-70k DOE 2/3 days office London & rest remote

Primarily based from home manage remote teams of CAD designers in the UK and overseas working on Enterprise level security systems for corporate global clients. Candidates must be proficient users of AutoCAD, have experience of managing remote teams, be familiar with electronic security systems and ideally have experience with C Cure, Lenel or Genetic system designs. This leading regional fire and security solutions provider is seeking an experienced Lead Fire & Security Engineer to oversee installation, servicing, and maintenance across Cambridgeshire and the wider East Anglia region. This role suits a senior engineer ready to step up, mentor others, and take ownership of technical delivery on a variety of commercial, healthcare, high security and high-end residential premises. Applicants for this role will need excellent technical skills covering fire detection, CCTV, access control and intruder detection systems, being able to service, maintain, install and commission systems. Responsibilities include taking the lead on jobs, being the senior point of contact on site, ensuring high standards of work and compliance to all relevant standards (BS5839, BS5266, NSI, FIA etc.) and providing technical support and guidance to other engineers and customers. This exciting opportunity comes with a basic salary to 50,000 plus vehicle, overtime and package.
