The Software Engineer will be working on innovative Geospatial software, using the latest cloud-based technologies. The engineer will be involved in every stage of the software development life cycle, from initial design through development, testing, and deployment, delivering robust, scalable cloud-based services. The role can be based out of our clients Newcastle or Guildford office. Flexible working arrangements are in place for the team. The successful candidate is expected to be in the office 3 days a week, with the opportunity to work 2 days from home. Responsibilities Develop high-quality, readable, scalable and easily maintained code, using Java and related technologies, meeting requirements and coding standards. Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will enhance team velocity. Contribute to quality assurance by writing unit and automated tests. Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets coding best practices guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines Ensure code is sufficiently documented and share knowledge of solutions implemented. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups in a true Agile environment, contributing to agile based estimating. Work with the scrum team to meet the sprint commitments Skill Set Essential Java Cloud Services development Unit testing Desirable DevSecOps awareness using tools such as Tekton, ArgoCD, SonarQube Red Hat Openshift container platform or Kubernetes Quarkus Framework Front End development using Angular

Security Engineer - SC Cleared (or Eligible) - £550 per day - Inside IR35 - Remote - 12 Months initial contract We are currently working with a leading client in the zero carbon energy sector who are looking to bring on board an experienced Security Engineer to join their security implementation and engineering delivery team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on large-scale, business-critical projects in a highly regulated environment. The Role - As part of the security engineering team, you'll be: Delivering on the security portfolio, with a focus on SASE and Firewall estates. Working within a SAFe Agile framework, participating in sprints and stand-ups. Managing and tracking workloads via Jira. Triaging customer requirements into actionable deliverables. Acting as an escalation engineer for the Security Support Team. Supporting and mentoring junior engineers. Producing documentation and knowledge base material, as well as delivering knowledge transfer sessions. Occasionally supporting out-of-hours work. Technical Skills We're Looking For My client is looking for demonstrable experience in as many of the following as possible: Enterprise Firewalls: Palo Alto (PAN) & Fortinet. Management platforms: Panorama, SCM, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer. SASE products/services. Load balancers & application delivery - primarily F5. Vulnerability & exposure management (eg Tenable). Email security gateways and hygiene solutions (Mimecast). Network routing, switching, access policy administration. AWS and Azure security knowledge. Documentation: HLDs, LLDs, Security Designs, Risk Assessments, Network Diagrams. Soft Skills & Background Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Agile/SAFe delivery experience. Background in security operations, compliance, risk, or governance. Experience working with an MSSP - desirable. Exposure to highly regulated industries - Financial Services experience a strong plus. Snowflake Data Modeller Location: Remote (Mostly remote with some occasional travel to Hemel Hempstead) Contract: Outside IR35 Day rate: Up to £550 per day Duration: 6 months Start date: ASAP Key skills: Snowflake, DBT, SQL, Python, AWS and Kimball The Client who are in the process of migrating to SnowFlake therefore require extra support. As a result, they require someone from a strong SQL & Python development background with excellent working knowledge of Data Build Tool (DBT). You will be undertaking aspects of the development life cycle and be experienced in data modelling, process design, development, and testing. And whilst this company is going through a large-scale migration, this will present you with an opportunity to be at the cutting edge of data engineering. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE A successful Senior Data Engineer here will have experience in the following: - Advanced SQL knowledge - SnowFlake (ideally certified) - Python development - AWS cloud experience essential, relating to data tooling and development - Working knowledge of Data Build Tool (DBT). o Develop staging, intermediate and marts in DBT to achieve analytics requirements o Optimize existing models to make it more reusable by following DBT best practices o Spot opportunities for the models to be incremental over full refresh o Organize sources and document sources in DBT o Develop DBT macros for most frequently repeated tasks - Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) - Development experience in one or more object-oriented programming languages (eg Python) - Ability to work with senior stakeholders across multiple verticals

Strong platform competency - able to build APIs, produce documentation, and work effectively in Agile. Ability to prioritise and manage work effectively.
