Principal Engineer - Temporary Works Location: Hybrid (3 days office/2 days home) Contract: 12 Months Determination: Outside IR35 Rate: £500 - £600 per day (DOE) We're looking for a Chartered Principal Temporary Works Engineer to join a growing Energy team, leading the design and delivery of complex temporary works across gas and energy infrastructure projects. This is a key technical leadership role where you'll provide engineering assurance, mentor a developing team and help expand our in-house capability, reducing reliance on external consultants for high-value temporary works projects. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and technical review of temporary works solutions. Provide engineering governance and ensure compliance with BS 5975, Eurocodes and relevant British Standards. Act as the senior technical authority for complex temporary works projects. Support and mentor junior engineers, developing the team's capability. Work closely with clients, project teams and construction teams to deliver safe, practical and buildable solutions. Drive best practice in temporary works design, risk management and engineering compliance. About You Chartered Engineer (CEng). Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Extensive experience in temporary works design and management. Strong knowledge of BS 5975, Eurocodes and British Standards. Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams. We are looking for a Design Coordinator to support the delivery of gas infrastructure Design & Build projects across large frameworks. The role involves coordinating design activities, managing deliverables, and supporting tender submissions. Hybrid working with regular visits to project sites and design offices. Responsibilities Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities. Manage and track design deliverables. Liaise with design teams, contractors and clients. Support design reviews and technical meetings. Monitor design progress, risks and issues. Maintain document control and design records. Support tender and bid activities. Assist with design approvals and change management. Experience Experience as a Design Coordinator, Design Manager, Engineering Coordinator or similar. Background in gas, utilities, energy or infrastructure projects. Experience within Design & Build environments. Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams. Tendering or pre-construction experience desirable. 3D CAD Designer - Energy Infrastructure Location: Hybrid (3 days office/2 days home) Contract: 12 Months Determination: Outside IR35 Rate: £40-£50 per hour (DOE) We're looking for an experienced 3D CAD Designer to help build out an in-house design capability. Working alongside engineers and project teams, you'll produce high-quality 3D models and engineering drawings that support projects from bid and FEED stages through to construction. Key Responsibilities Produce detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using industry-standard CAD software. Develop general arrangement drawings, layouts and construction details. Coordinate multidisciplinary models to identify and resolve clashes. Prepare drawing packages for client, procurement and construction teams. Update models throughout the project life cycle, including as-built information. Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, BIM requirements and CDE processes. Support visualisations, construction sequencing and practical, buildable design solutions. About You HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, CAD, Design or similar. Experience with software such as AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks or Bentley OpenBuildings/OpenRoads. Background producing engineering drawings for infrastructure or construction projects. Understanding of BIM, Common Data Environments (CDE) and engineering drawing standards.
