Site Engineer - Civil Engineering Location: Devonshire (on site) Rate: £350 per day Duration: 18 months We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join a civil engineering project based on site in Devonshire. This is a long-term contract role offering consistent work on a well-established project. Role responsibilities include supporting method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, and environmental procedures, carrying out setting out works, checking benchmarks and calibration of equipment, answering technical queries, maintaining site diaries and progress records, supporting procurement of materials and services, and assisting with the training of junior engineers. You will report directly to the Senior Engineer and support the Site Agent on site. Senior Design Manager - Transmission & Distribution Glasgow, UK | Hybrid Working 2-3 days per week in the office | 1-2 site visits per fortnight Lead. Build. Grow. A leading international engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Design Manager to play a key role in the continued growth of its Glasgow Transmission & Distribution team . This is a high-impact position offering the opportunity to grow alongside the Glasgow section of the business , with direct influence over project delivery, team development, and client relationships. You will report directly into the Divisional Manager and take responsibility for managing a small design team , including an Assistant Designer . The Role You will lead the delivery of complex UK power transmission and distribution design projects, acting as Project Manager and/or Design Manager depending on project scope. Key responsibilities include: End-to-end leadership of engineering design projects from concept through to completion Delivery of design-only and EPC/Design & Build projects Acting as Principal Designer representative under CDM Regulations 2015 Accountability for project performance across safety, quality, programme, cost, and risk Contract management, commercial control, and stakeholder coordination Leading and mentoring a small design team, supporting development and capability growth Close collaboration with senior leadership to support business growth in Scotland Supporting bids, proposals, and client engagement activities Championing Safety by Design and technical excellence About You Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline Strong background in UK electricity transmission & distribution design Proven experience in a design management or project management role Experience working on National Grid Electricity Transmission projects Good knowledge of CDM Regulations , UK H&S and environmental legislation Familiar with NEC contracts Confident managing people and working directly with senior stakeholders Proactive, commercially aware, and keen to grow with a developing regional team Relevant Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent) Why Apply?
