The company is looking for someone to run a Civils and Building framework for the business, taking over from an existing employee who is moving to another part of the business Work will involve pointing up brickwork, drainage, vegetation clearance, small earthworks (cutting, embankments) and line side civils Individual projects up to 3m, majority of these are on NEC Contract so important for this person to at least have some commercial awareness Key responsibilities include: Programming and RAMS Working closely with the QS in pricing Creating CDM documentation Resourcing materials and ensuring these are distributed properly Liaising client with Network Rail (important part of the role so comms must be strong) Booking access to sites through planning teams Candidates must come from a Rail background - they'll be working closely with NR so need to understand the Rail environment To start with this will be 5 days in office/sites - office is in Marks Tey near Colchester, but would also spend 1 day per week at NR head office in Stratford Site travel would be dependent on the need to be there (if any issues for example) Preference would be for a permanent candidate but would look at freelancers also
