Main Duties & Responsibilities Assist experienced operators in operating rolling mills and related machinery. Monitor production processes according to production schedules and customer specifications and report any deviations or issues. Collaborate with the team to achieve production targets and maintain product quality. Adhering to strict safety protocols and maintaining a clean work area. As a Production Operator you will ensure the safe production of all aluminium slabs in the Casthouse, conforming to the correct sizes and following the scheduled requirements from the Planning Department. Responsibilities: Identify the different formats and purities of scrap to load into furnaces to provide the correct specification of molten aluminium required. Follow the ODS s to provide sufficient, clean, specified molten metal ready for casting the sizes of slabs in accordance with the schedule. Check identification and dimensions of slab to the required length conforming to the slab identification. Accurately record data on Computer system and production sheets Participate with maintenance to improve machine reliability. Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized to a 6s standard. Requirements : A minimum of two years experience of working in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of the production environment and ability to work to targets and deadlines. Advise on all downtime issues and requirements needed to ensure efficient production. Have a technical aptitude and be customer focused. Be able to work as part of a team and show initiative and a positive attitude.
