Working on a 40 hour week with no on call rota the EC&I Technician, the will carry out planned & preventative maintenance across this power generation facility based in Birmingham. As the EC&I Technician, you will be responsible for: Carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on electrical process plant PLC & controls fault diagnosis on rotating plant including fans & pumps Supporting during major maintenance periods such as shutdowns, outages etc Responding to breakdowns to ensure continuous operations Maintaining accurate records using the site CMMS Problem solve & assist the electrical engineer with site improvements Working on a days basis to support operations across the site Other duties as required To be considered for this role you should have: A relevant engineering qualified (HNC/NVQ/Apprenticeship etc.) Proven experience in EfW or relevant sector (Biomass / CCGT / energy from waste / Water) Experience troubleshooting, fault finding and rectifying problems on DCS, SCADA and PLCs Electrical maintenance experience on motors, switchgear, VSDs, control panels, etc. Knowledge of all Health, Safety & Environmental legislation and safe systems of work, RAMS, permit to work, etc. This is a permanent position based in Birmingham; due to the location of the plant, you will need a full UK driving licence to access the site.
