*Data engineer multiple Government clients: inside IR35 - London - Between £500 & £600pd - Ideally SC cleared We are seeking data engineers with strong engineering backgrounds and consulting skills to work at one of several high profile public sector clients. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Data Engineer, your primary focus is not just building pipelines, but evaluating the Data Landscape and feasibility of future automation. Data Landscape Assessment: Interrogate existing data sets to identify gaps in quality, accessibility, and consistency that hinder automation or insight generation. Tactical Problem Solving: Identify and implement "quick fix" tactical solutions where possible to address immediate data blockers. Blueprinting: Develop high-level activity blueprints for proposed automated data pipelines focusing on key data flows and platform components for prioritised use cases. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with User Researchers and Content Designers to align technical data solutions with documented user pain points and functional requirements. Strategic Roadmapping: Provide technical recommendations for the build phase, including resource requirements and governance needs for the post March roadmap. Skills & Requirements Technical Expertise: Strong background in data engineering with experience in assessing Legacy data processes and designing modern cloud data platform integrations. Consultative Approach: Ability to act as an internal consultant, translating complex business problems into technical requirements Agile Delivery: Experience working in rapid, milestone-driven discovery phases using agile sprints. Security: Must hold active SC Clearance Communication: Capable of articulating the why and what of a data solution to ensure transformational outcomes rather than just technical tinkering. Proficient in Azure, Python, SQL skills in Data Bricks and other technologies beneficial The majority of our role support Hybrid working with 1-3 days in the office.
