Lead Fire Safety Adviser An established London-based organisation with a complex, multi-site estate is seeking an experienced Lead Fire Safety Adviser to drive fire safety strategy and ensure compliance across its diverse portfolio of academic, residential, research, and shared-use buildings. The Role You will lead the development and implementation of fire safety policies, risk management frameworks, fire risk assessments, emergency procedures, and staff training. Acting as the organisation's fire safety subject matter expert, you will advise on new build and refurbishment projects, oversee fire safety systems, and support incident investigations. The role also requires regular collaboration with internal stakeholders, enforcement authorities, project teams, and external contractors, ensuring that all sites operate to the highest fire safety standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the organisation's fire safety strategy, policies, and risk assessment programme Provide expert advice on legislation, building regulations, fire engineering principles, and emergency planning Support major projects, reviewing fire strategies, compartmentation plans, and fire safety system designs Investigate fire-related incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented Manage fire safety training, evacuation drills, and fire warden networks Liaise with external regulators, fire authorities, and building control About You Level 4 Fire Risk Assessor qualification (minimum) plus relevant fire safety diploma Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, British Standards, and fire engineering principles Significant experience managing fire safety in a large, complex, multi-site environment Skilled at interpreting fire strategy documents, evacuation designs, and technical drawings Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Professional membership (eg, IFE) highly desirable

A forward-thinking education trust is seeking a proactive HR, Pay & Pensions Officer to support the full employee life cycle, ensure accurate payroll delivery, and manage pensions administration. This is a pivotal, hands-on role within a small and collaborative HR team. Key Responsibilities: HR Administration Manage the full employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding. Prepare offer letters, contracts, variations, and related documents. Support pre-employment vetting and maintain accurate staff records. Act as first point of contact for HR, pay and pension queries. Update and maintain the HR information system. Coordinate inductions, return-to-work meetings, occupational health referrals, and exit interviews. Provide support to managers on HR queries including absence, capability, and conduct matters. Support recruitment processes including reviewing job descriptions and preparing recruitment packs. Payroll Administer monthly payroll for c.200 employees, working closely with an outsourced payroll provider. Collate and submit accurate payroll data in line with deadlines. Review payroll reports, queries and adjustments. Ensure compliance with pay increases, policies and National Minimum Wage regulations. Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee data. Pensions Maintain accurate pension contribution data and liaise with pension and payroll providers. Ensure timely pay-overs and complete annual pension reporting. Respond to pension queries from staff and escalate issues as appropriate. Data, Compliance & Safeguarding Maintain and monitor Single Central Register compliance across the trust. Support safeguarding training administration including portal setup and monitoring completion. Update HR policies to ensure alignment with employment legislation and organisational standards. Ensure HR data management is fully compliant with GDPR. Person Specification Essential Previous payroll administration experience (education sector experience highly beneficial). Highly organised, accurate, and able to manage multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong IT skills and confidence working with HR/Payroll systems, ideally CINTRA (payroll) and BREATHE (HR). Discreet, professional, and able to handle confidential information sensitively.
