The Opportunity This is a highly autonomous field-based sales role focused on developing existing customer relationships whilst identifying and converting new business opportunities across the region. You will work closely with a wide variety of industrial customers, helping them improve reliability, reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency through a combination of engineered products, technical support and specialist services. The role offers significant scope for growth and would suit an ambitious sales professional who enjoys building long-term partnerships and developing a territory strategically. Key Responsibilities Manage and develop an established portfolio of industrial customers across the South Coast. Identify and secure new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets. Build strong relationships with engineering, maintenance, operations and procurement stakeholders. Conduct site visits, surveys and customer meetings to understand operational challenges and requirements. Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline through proactive business development activity. Deliver commercial proposals and negotiate contracts. Collaborate with internal engineering and technical support teams to develop customer solutions. Represent the business professionally at customer sites, industry events and exhibitions. Target Markets Customers are typically found across sectors including: Waste Management & Recycling Energy from Waste Water & Wastewater Quarrying & Aggregates Building Materials Agriculture Ports & Bulk Materials Handling Heavy Industrial Manufacturing About You You do not need direct experience of our client's products to be successful. More important is your ability to build relationships, develop business and understand industrial customer environments. You may currently be working as a: Regional Sales Manager Area Sales Manager Business Development Manager Technical Sales Engineer Sales Engineer Key Account Manager Account Manager What We're Looking For Proven track record within a field sales or business development role. Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills. Ability to identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Self-motivated, organised and capable of managing a large geographical territory. Full UK driving licence. Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from maintenance teams through to senior management.
