SEN Teacher (PMLD) Job Title: SEN Teacher (PMLD Focus) - Secondary SEN School Location: Lambeth, South East London (SE24) Salary: Main Pay Scale / UPS (dependent on experience) Contract Type: Long-term and/or Permanent About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and creative SEN Teacher with experience supporting students with PMLD within a secondary special needs setting . You will play a key role in delivering tailored learning experiences that promote independence, communication, and personal development for every pupil in your care. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for students with complex needs and PMLD Use a variety of communication methods including PECs, Makaton, and sensory-based approaches Work closely with a team of therapists, teaching assistants, and other support staff Develop individual learning and behaviour support plans Maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status - QTS One of the most important requirements is to have a fun bubbly personality for the kids and speak English very well due to the children's speech, language, and communication capabilities. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to young people who require personalised support throughout their school day.
